Components of the PC

The Optical Drive

Depending on the system conﬁguration, your PC may be equipped with an optical drive

(e.g., a CD-ROM, DVD+/-RW or combination drive).

While the computer is running, insert the optical medium (CD or DVD) into the drive with

the label facing upwards, as shown in the ﬁgure.

If you would like to take out the disk, push the optical drive eject button (see ﬁgure) while

the computer is running. The disk will be automatically ejected.

Only insert one disk at a time into the drive. Do not insert any objects into

the drive other than the appropriate optical media.

The built-in CD-ROM drive is a class 1 laser product. Do not open the

device and do not look into the laser beam, even when using optical

instruments.
